Taylor D.2024-08-06We recently had a few pool/spa lights go out as well the valve acuator. I was initially frustrated with the wait time for new lights and actuator replacement (which was out of Zier's control, Pentair issue). In an impulsive moment, I temporarily posted a one star update for Zier on a Saturday night for these issues that were out of their hands. That night, Jay and Tim Zier called me and continued to work to solve my issues even on a Sunday morning. Once I spoke with Jay, he had already arranged for a Pentair tech to replace both the light and acuator within a day. Despite the parts being months beyond 3 year warranty, Zier took care of this and I regret ever posting a low rating (even temporarily). Zier goes beyond the call of duty for their customers in a way that no other business does and of course cannot control all of the issues with Pentair parts/repair schedules. Highly recommend them to anyone!Verified
Julie D.2024-08-02The only mistake we made in going with Zier Pools was that we didn't decide to do it 5 years ago! We worked with Jay Zier and he was such a pleasure to work with. He held our hand through the design, the long permitting process, shopping trips to pick stone & tile, and even gave us great referrals for landscaping, pool solar and a weekly pool maintenance guy. Every text we sent him he responded to super quickly. His workers were polite, came on time, tidied up each day. The end result is fantastic. We are so delighted to hang in the spa or pool when we get home from work or on the weekends. We have been so excited to entertain and our HS and college age kids have really enjoyed having friends over to swim and hang in the new back yard. Thank you Jay and the whole team. I would highly recommend them to any friend or family who were considering putting in a pool.Verified

We brought four major pool builders out to give bids, and we decided on Zier Pools because of Tim Brown. He was the most pleasant, personable, and competent of all the company representatives that we met with. Building a pool is a big project that involves a lot of decisions and back-and-forth with your project manager, so we knew we needed to pick someone we thought would be responsive and capable. Tim and the entire Zier crew did not disappoint! We can't believe how smooth our project went, start-to-finish, and the exceptional quality of work at each phase. I consider myself very particular, with high standards and a keen eye for detail. Zier Pools exceeded my expectations and made sure everything was perfect, including every little 1-inch tile! There's nothing more luxurious and revitalizing than a swim in your own private pool on a hot day, or more relaxing than a soak in your spa. The kids say it feels like we're on vacation, but in our own backyard. We're all just enjoying our pool so much. It's well worth the investment. We've worked with quite the number of contractors over the past few years and none have been as communicative, honest, hardworking and passionate about their craft as well as the customers satisfaction. Matt Bagby was our assigned point person for our pool project and he immediately made us feel comfortable with moving forward with Zier Pools. They made us feel like family and took care of us every single step of the way. The transformation of our backyard space is quite astonishing and incredible and it has already been such a blessing for us and our family to enjoy during the hot summer season. If you are ever in the market for a pool remodel, i cannot recommend this team highly enough. Give them a chance and they will blow your socks off! From the beginning where they offered to do a 3D CAD design for free (which a lot of the other companies require you to pay for them) to the various changes we needed to do throughout the project we were always kept informed and updated! Matt and his team also work closely in hand with Kenny who does landscaping work along with Zier Pools very often. Kenny met every need and went above and beyond in our landscaping needs! He is truly a gem in the dust, hardworking and honest and never stops making sure you are completely satisfied with the end result! Taylor S.2024-06-28We recently did a full yard renovation: ADU, Pool, landscape and hardscape, and Zier Pools came highly recommended from a neighbor. We bid our pool out to a few contractors and Zier submitted a competitive bid. However, the #1 reason we went with Zier is because the sales rep who designed and sold us the pool (Tim) was also our project manager from start to finish. It was very important to us that we had one person to contact, especially given the pool was only one piece of our larger backyard renovation. Tim was attentive, patient, and always available to answer any questions and address any issues. Zier worked fast, finished on time, and within our budget. We didn't have any issues with them cooperating and working in conjunction with our ADU and landscape/hardscape contractor. Tim's communication was great, always bringing us in when decisions were being made and making sure the final design was exactly what we wanted. We were more than happy with the final results and Zier was quick to address any follow up items, which you always have with any construction job. Daniel L.2024-03-19Zier pools just completed our pool. We are so impressed with the entire experience. Gerry Hernandez came out to provide a quote and review the pool design. He was extremely knowledgeable throughout the whole project. The quote was accurate and we were not surprised by any additional expenses. We made a few additions on our end which increased the budget but Gerry always advised us on the best modification to maximize the expense. His trusted guidance made the experience so comfortable. The work detail was fantastic! Tile work was meticulously completed with attention to detail and finish. Everyone throughout the project was professional and worked diligently to complete their area of responsibility without any issues. The project came in exactly on schedule of 4 months. Had the continued rain not occurred they would have been done a month earlier! We are so happy with the Gerry and the Zier Pool team! I worked with Jay and he was great - always available by phone, quick to reply, and informative of each step of the process. I was most impressed with both the efficiency and quality of their work - I started my project in June and it was completed by September - digging, plumbing, coping, tiling, all of it! Friends of mine who had started their project a year before me still had not completed theirs - and not for a lack of quality. They were meticulous and put great thought into each step - such as carefully calculating how each paver would line up and rearranging the marble coping so each piece fit perfectly next to one another. As someone with OCD, I greatly appreciated the extra time and effort for perfection! My husband and I could not be happier with the outcome!Verified

We were given Tim's information from a good family friend that spoke highly of Tim and Zier regarding the work they did on their new pool construction so I reached out to Tim to see if they would take on a remodel during "down season". We have also had other friends that have used Zier Pools and spoke highly of their services as well. Tim was super fast to respond and came out promptly. We had a great discussion about the project where he walked me through different options and things to look out for. I love the fact that when we were going through the process, Tim clearly laid out all expectations. I received the estimate which was very detailed (I am a man of details so I appreciated this a lot), as well as an animation showing what the yard would look like with our selections. Top notch stuff. We unfortunately did not go with Zier, but I still wanted to preach about how awesome Tim was during our interaction. Personable, great communicator, and overall good dude. For any new construction pool business, it's a MUST to have Zier Pools come out and take a look. When you, please ask for Tim, you definitely won't be disappointed.Verified

They not only did an amazing rendering of our pool design, but executed the build for our entire outdoor kitchen. Even when we had problems with the city due to a 50 year old easement, Tim stuck with us and helped us through the process. Highly recommend Zier and their top notch quality. You get what you pay for, and Zier Pools is worth every penny.
